SOUNDS NEWSPAPER- EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Successfully interviewed with the Advisor of the Sounds Newspaper. Restructured the former Sounds Newspaper operating system, scheduled weekly team meetings and weekly meetings with my Advisor and implemented an editorial calendar for publication process. Led team meetings with four other reporters and a web layout editor and engaged in consistent communication with reporters through multiple channels. Deligated story pitches to reporters and worked with reporters when editing articles to inform and revise their work. Worked closely with leaders within the community to highlight their activity in relation to SPSCC.

WRITING INTERN- ROAD TRIP PLAYLISTS

Interviewed and selected as a Writing Intern joining a team of photographers, writers, and mixed media artists to provide coverage on music and entertainment news, album and EP reviews, concert reviews, interviews, playlists curation and artist profiles. Responsibilities include covering a variety of music news, writing music reviews, concert coverage across multiple genres, and pitch new article ideas (news, reviews, interviews, and art).

FEATURE WRITING INTERN- ALEXANDRIA TIMES

Went through a rigorous interview process and selected as a Feature Writer Intern. Weekly briefings were held to pitch stories, revisit the agenda for the next month and beyond, and update the team on outreach progress. Worked on a strict deadline oriented schedule. Duties included; writing Weekly Briefings, Death Notices, reporting any feature stories and posting the articles to Wordpress following print publication.

FEATURE WRITING INTERN- ARTRKL MAGAZINE

Interviewed and selected as a Feature Writer Intern. Regular responsibilities included pitching story concepts, creating project queues several weeks in advance, actively working on at least one story at all times and curate media kits with photos, videos, and captions. Engaged in consistent outreach with artists, galleries, and museums for interviews or profiles. Worked autonomously and self motivated while maintaining consistent communication with my Publisher and Editor.
